Presentation :
I am a professional EnglishPortuguese translator and interpreter based in Brazil, with over 10 years' professional experience. I pride myself on delivering a high quality service in a timely fashion and with a friendly attitude, guaranteeing fluent, faithful translations and proactive solutions for all my customers' needs.
My academic background is in Philosophy and Portuguese. I graduated in Portuguese from the University of Leeds in England (my native country), with my degree program focused largely on translation and including a one-year liaison interpreting course. As a result of my personal interests and numerous work opportunities I have become well acquainted with various different fields, including the oil & gas industry, law, logistics, health care, cinema and mechanical and electrical engineering.
I am accredited as a professional translator (Portuguese to English) by ABRATES (Brazilian Translators' Association) and also an approved member of SINTRA (Brazilian Translators' Union - associated to FIT).
In 2004 I opened my translation company, Quesco Brasil, based in Rio de Janeiro and since then have gathered an extensive clientele and formed a team of translators to provide services for various other languages, including Spanish, German, Dutch and French.
