I am a technical translator with a classical background. I have been working as a free-lance translator for 14 years for Italian and foreign companies.
Diplomi conseguiti :
1983 Diploma in classical studies 'Liceo Classico' - Italian high school
1988 Degree (BA) in Translation and Interpreting - S.S.I.T. (School for Interpreters and Translators located in Florence) Languages: English and French;
1997 Degree (MA) in Foreign Languages (Linguistics) I.U.L.M. (University Institute of Modern Languages) Milan.

Esperienza professionale :
1989-2001 Translator and Interpreter for LOGOS (translation agency located in Modena - Italy) and Director for the same company. Free-lance translator for translation company located in Milan (contracts, brochures, promotion materials, company presentations, web sites, tourism). In-house and free-lance technical translator from English, French and Spanish for different contracting companies ( product data sheets, manuals, contracts and agreements, terms and conditions, bids for oil and gas industry, mechanics, engineering, power stations, onshore and offshore pipelines) in Florence, Modena, Milan, Turin and Novara. Translations for ABC Traductions, located in France (commercial and agricultural translations from French into Italian).
1998-2007 Teaching experiences of English and French as a second language in high schools located in Milan.
2005-2007 technical translations and editing for companies located in the USA (gas industry), Italy (advertising and public relations), Spain (carpentry, business standards, solar energy, hydroponics, IT, web sites), Czech Republic (gas turbines), Poland (literary translations), Finland (civil engineering: mining and construction, hydraulic hammers, hydraulic cutter-crushers, pulverizers, excavator attachments).
