Presentation :
I have a university degree (BA)in languages from Sweden;
a diploma from a school for international secretaries and
have among other things worked as a secretary in Sweden and at the FAO in Rome where I have been living for over 25 years.
For about ten years I have been dedicated to translating more and more and at full-time.
Interests :
My interest in translations started long ago, but my professional experience dates back to 1990, after I had translated a medical report in German into Italian for friends and participated in a language test for translators at Bruxelles European Council.

Working method :
I have in my office a local network with:
· Server (DELL Dimension 8200 Pentium IV 1,9 GHz
· Client (DELL Dimension 4400 Pentium IV 850 Ghz

The server has an ADSL connection with a 3Com Router to the Italian provider Tiscali.

The net is also provided with fax connection, printer, scanner and other facilities.

I work in Microsoft environment (Windows XP for the server and Windows 98 S.E. and Windows M.E. for the client).

I use Microsoft Office 2000, Page Maker 6.0, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point and the proprietary tool Mneme suite for Logos, and Trados translation tool.


When doing translations into Italian I work together with an Italian proof-reader, so I can assure an optimal result.
As regards my technical translations into Swedish I once was a subscriber of the Swedish Centre of Technical Terminology, but today I benefit from ProZ.com as a Platinum member.
