I translate from English to Afrikaans, and from Afrikaans to English, as well as Dutch and Flemish to English and Afrikaans.

I have 15 years experience as Executive Personal Assistant (up to Government Ministerial Level – as PA to the CEO of the South African NRF’s Innovation Fund – my Director reported to Min. Ben Ngubane, Minister of Science and Technology at the time), with a sound Administrative background (not only typing, but also preparing various reports – research, financial and administrative – with no room for error), and first class experience with translation. I worked as part-time freelance translator for a publishing house in the 80’s. I was also Area Manager for an internationally renowned Cosmetic Company for well over 17 years.

Currently, I am a full-time freelance translator, based in Flanders. I have clients around the globe.

I am currently completing my BSC degree in Environmental Management - Majors in Geography and Archaeology, I have a Diploma in Interior Design, and has done numerous Secretarial, Computer, Administration and Managerial Courses.

I speak Afrikaans, English, Dutch and Flemish, with both English and Afrikaans on Mother tongue level.

My interests include: Archaeology, Biotechnology, Scientific research, Geography, Geology, Zoology, Botany, Gardening, Sewing and Embroidery, Interior Decor, History - and particularly pre-history, Arts & Crafts.
