I am an industrial engineer with over 30 years of experience in the Information Systems industry, including software and hardware development and product marketing. In the latter role, I have produced many types of documents concerning the development, manufacturing, marketing and legal aspects of a variety of products for international class companies.

Throughout my career, I have been freelancing in written and simultaneous translation in both directions since my mother tongue is both French and English.

Working method :
I use Trados, WordFast, SDLX translation memories and Multilizer software localisation tools.

Expert in all Microsoft products such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, databases and communication technologies, I can receive, send and convert documents in just about every known format. I can also burn CDs and DVDs for large documents. I also use Adobe Professional to update or markup PDF files and I have conversion tools such as migration from PDF to word, file comparison, etc. Connected via cable modem to the Internet, I can send & receive any size documents and access as many sources as needed to research terminology. I make heavy use of translation sites and thesauri to assure that I use the right terminology for the region.
