Presentation :
I have over twenty years' experience as a translator, most of them spent as staff translator in international organizations.
I am currently a freelance translator.
From January 1987 – October 2001, I worked at the Executive Secretariat of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Abuja, Nigeria. I retired as Revisor (English) and Head of the English Unit in October 2001. ECOWAS deals with economic issues (all aspects of international development, political, defence and security matters).
2. From April 1983 -December 1986, I was a translator at the Executive Secretariat of the African Groundnut Council (agriculture development, cooperation, environment and health issues)
3. From 1976-77, I worked as atranslator at the International Secretariat of FESTAC (culture, education)
Since 2002, I have been working as a freelance translator ( short term employment contracts during meetings, home translation via email.
