Presentation :
After a few years of work within a multinational companies, where I had the opportunity to better understand the way business works, and after living a few years abroad, where I had the opportunity to better understand the linguistic and cultural background of the languages I studied, I presently work as a free lance translator in Italy.
Qualifications :
Degree of Translator and Interpreter at the School for Interpreters and Translators of the Comune di Milano; Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at the Istituto Universitario di Lingue Moderne in Milan.
Professional experience :
Three years within a company of associated translators; two years in Spain within a mechanical company, where I was in charge of external communication; six years as Human Resources Manager within multinational companies (Mars, Accenture); three years within a translator agency in Paris. I presently work as free-lance translator.
Prices :
0,08 euro per word. Minimum invoice: 20 euros.
Rereading/Correction of texts translated by other translators: 30 euros per hour.
Working method :
I usually receive texts by e-mail and I send the translation back using the same method. To better understand the customer's internal language I make researches. Use of glossaries created year after year, use of specific terminology required by the customer, multiple paper and on-line ressources.
