Presentation :
I am a professional translator since 1984, and I have translated some 40 books on a large number of subjects and a lot of articles for magazines.
I usually translate from English and French into Catalan or Spanish (both of them my mother tongues), and sometimes from Spanish into Catalan or vice-versa.
Qualifications :
Bachelor in English Philology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1984)
Professional courses :
-Postgraduate course in lexicography (University of Barcelona, 1992)
-Postgraduate course in teaching Catalan for adult speakers (University of Barcelona, 2002)
-Introductory course in translation with Dejà Vu (ATRIL, 2002)

I have worked as a translator for the following publishers houses: Edicions 62, Editorial Molino, Casa de Software, Ediciones Igitur, Editorial Minotauro, Fundació Jaume Bofill, Edicions Ermita, etc.
I have also worked as a profreader in Catalan and Spanish for: Edicions 62, Enciclopèdia Catalana and Editorial Molino.
Although my professional activity has devoloped mainly as a translator and proofreader, I have also taught English, Catalan for adult speakers, and Spanish for foreign speakers, in the following academies and institutions, all of them based on Barcelona: Metford, Novalingua, FUNDESOC and Òmnium Cultural.
