Kvalifikace :
Studies of Russistik and Bohemistik at the Humboldt University of Berlin, studies abroad at the Charles University in Prague (1 year) and at the Moscow State University (half a year)

I was starting my career in 1997 as an internal translator at one of the most dominant translation agencies in Prague, which is fulfilling translations also for the Czech government. From April 2000 I am translating independently for our clients all over the German speaking countries + Czech Republic.

Professional full-time freelance translator since 1997. I am a German living in Prague since 1996 and my wife is Russian, so my foreign languages are "kept alive" in the most natural way.

Czech-->German 0,09 EUR/source word (0,11 EUR/source word when creating a TM)
Slovak-->German 0,10 EUR/source word (0,13 EUR/source word when creating a TM)

Pracovní metoda :
I am mostly translating in MS Word and the other formats of MS Office. Of course I am able to create and work with translation memories. I'm able to work with source texts in most of the common digital formats, but using OCR also sent by fax, scanned and so on. We are checking our mailbox and our answering/fax machine at least every 3 hours on working days (also in the evening) and on Sunday evening on weekends. When I am at home I answer almost immediately (ADSL internet connection).
