Presentation :
I am an experienced technical translator as I have been working in a translation agency as Senior Translator for the past 9 years, undertaking most of their translations into German and lately increasingly translations from German into English due to a lack of better qualified translators.
Qualifications :
1989-1996 Studied for a Degree in Technical Translation from the University of Hildesheim (Diplomstudiengang Fachübersetzen Technik)
Subjects studied were: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT
Languages studied: English and Spanish, Basic French
Professional experience :
9 years as Senior Translator in translation agency
Translated on average 3500 words per day, every day (including weekends)
DTP work in FrameMaker, Pagemaker and QuarkXPress
