Presentation :
After working as a freelance musician, screenprinter and t-shirt designer, I decided to take advantage of the fact that I was raised bilingually (German/Italian) . After some freelance translation-jobs, I decided to go back to the university where I got my degree as a translator in february 2004.
Interests :
As I still earn some of my money as a drummer, I'm really interested in contemporary music, instruments, amplification and studio equipment. My experience as a screenprinter who works with other printers in a collective made me also gain insight in desktop-publishing, pre-press and offset-printing. Other interests include mountainbiking, road-cycling, skiing, biology, brewing, arts,cinema and computers.

Professional experience :
Since 1999, I have been working part-time as a freelance translator for TRADUC in Saarbrücken (translations of website content, technical manuals and documents - English to German), for MUSIC & SALES in St. Wendel (translations of manuals for guitar and bass amplificators, PA and recording studio systems - German to Italian) and for Dirko Gütschow in Saarbrücken (translations of manuals and Websites for Behnke house-telephone systems, German to Italian). Currently, I cooperate time with a small publishing agency, collecting data and translating small texts for a tourist guide for ecological holidays on organic farms (Ferien auf dem Bio-Hof, Blattlaus Verlag, Saarbrücken). Currently, I'm cooperating with the TV-production company Telefilm-Saar, Saarbrücken. My tasks there include translating scripts of documentary films and short movies for the German-French TV-Station ARTE, as well as transcrptions and subtitling.
Prices :
According to the amount of text and its difficulty level the prices vary from 12 to 15 cents per source language word for TM-fuzzy matches from 0%to 74%.

For 75-99% matches, the rate is 50%.
For 100% matches, the rate is25%.
Working method :
PC in a LAN (Athlon 800 MHZ, 512 MB RAM, DSL connection to the Internet, Epson laserjet b/w printer, fax machine, scanner and colour laser printer. OS: Windows 2000, programs: Ofice 2000, TM Wordfast, TM Trados 5.5, Pagemaker 6.5, CorelDraw 10, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Dreamweaver 4.
