Presentation :
Perfectly bilingual, as I have been living in Brussels, I started working at Kodak NV/SA (customer service) during 13 years, then went over to graphic arts for 15 years (during 12 years in the technical department, I have been translating all letters, reports, documents in English-German-Dutch-French), to switch over to telecommunications for 2 years, working for the legal department. Being installed as a full independent for 2 years already, I ensure translations and typing of real estate, medical and legal reports. Corrections and lay-outs of documents are accepted too.
Languages and informatics have always passionated me. Apart from that, I am interested in photography, criminology, philosophy, travelling, reading, music, film.
Qualifications :
Translator at HRVT, Brussels (French-English).
Furthermore I have been working during 15 years in customer relations services (at Kodak and as an order taker at Bonte NV). Then, for 15 years I have been working as an assistant to Management Directors. I could improve my translation skills at Havlange Bonte during 12 years (Dutch-French-English-German).
Started up as an independent translator for 2 years now.

Professional experience :
After having worked in a customer relations department during 13 years, I worked as an order taker during 2 years, then I have started my job as Management Assistant in the technical Department of Havlange Bonte (selling graphic arts machinery and products), where I have been translating all documents in Dutch-French-English and German (from/into each other). The most important supplier was a German company. Now, I am working in Telecommunications, for internet and telecommunications providers, within the legal department as an assitant to the legal director.
As a complementary job I ensure translations and typing of real estate, medical and legal surveys and documents, as well as correcting and lay-outs of documents.
I made the lay-out and correction work for a thesis in philosophy (900 pages), with insertion of all the foot-notes (±200 pages). Also prepared different books in philosophy before their edition.
All translations can be made from English, German, French, Dutch into Dutch, French, English or German (the latter least specialised)
Prices :
For translations: 0,06 - 0,10 euro/word (depending on urgency or technical difficulty of the documents).
For typing out, corrections and/or lay-out of documents a price can be made up before execution of the specific work asked for.
Working method :
2 tower PCs (with 1.44 disc, CD-Rom and ZIP-drive), in network, with ADSL-connection to each PC, 1 Laptop, e-mail-connection on both PCs.
Windows XP, Windows ME and Office 2003 on both PCs.
HP-printers, laser B/W & deskjet color printer.
Fax, digital camera and dictaphone for Philips and Grundig cassettes.
Mostly, for typing of the reports, I'm working with dictaphone system (Philips or Grundig-cassettes).
Translations are sent by e-mail or -only within Brussels- I pick up the work at home (dictaphone cassettes).
