Born in 1953 in Haarlem, the Netherlands, living in Brussels since 1973. I have a degree in interpreting from one of Brussels’ top translation and interpreting schools, the Institut Supérieur de l’Etat des Traducteurs et Interprètes (now known as the Institut Supérieur Erasme). As a young graduate, from 1979 to 1984, I worked as a freelance interpreter at the European Parliament, and as a freelance translator and writer. After a brief spell as a copywriter, first with advertising agency Young & Rubicam, then with direct marketing agency Wunderman International, I continued my freelance career. I work exclusively in my native language. I never miss a deadline and I make sure that my customers are always completely satisfied about the translation, editing, copywriting and project management services I offer.
